The X-Ray Technologist performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and proficiency in venipuncture and imaging protocols.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
Start IVs for contrast injections as required
Ensure proper patient positioning and safety during procedures
Document procedures and maintain records using electronic systems
Maintain familiarity with applicable State and Federal regulations
Operate equipment according to established protocols and safety standards
Requirements:
Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
Current BCLS (AHA) certification
At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
Proficient computer skills
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred
Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT
Venipuncture certificate (proficient in starting IVs for contrast injections)
