Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiation Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/13/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Schedule: Monday – Friday, Days (40 hours/week guaranteed) Cancellations: None ? Licensure & Certification Requirements: BLS – Required ARRT (Radiation Therapy) – Required Current Arizona State CTT Radiation Therapist Certification – Required ⚙️ Equipment & Software: Linear Accelerator: Varian 21iX Linac Treatment Planning: Pinnacle Record & Verify System: Mosaiq EMR Systems: Mosaiq & Allscripts ✅ Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Perform start-up and QA procedures for the simulator and linear accelerator Document QA and report ≥5% deviations to leadership Conduct conventional and CT simulations, create immobilization devices, and perform 3D compensator mounting Complete weekly portal imaging or IGRT Perform field QA for IMRT and compensator fields Treatment Management: Accurately deliver prescribed treatment based on simulation and planning documentation Shift and position patients as directed Schedule and maintain appointment flow Submit accurate billing and documentation Participate in On-Treatment Visits (OTVs) with physicians Assist in tumor boards and chart rounds Documentation & Safety: Verify accuracy of records, attach treatment plans, perform weekly chart checks Notify physician of missing or inaccurate documentation Follow radiation safety protocols and report machine malfunctions Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies ? Physical Demands & Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently Requires constant standing, use of PPE, close computer work, and direct patient interaction OSHA Exposure Category 1: High exposure risk (blood, body fluids, tissues) ?
