Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. As an Oncology RN, you will play a critical role in supporting patients through chemotherapy, radiation therapy, symptom management, and recovery, while offering emotional support to patients and their families. ✨ Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Monitor and manage side effects of treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Assess patient conditions, perform physical assessments, and respond to clinical changes promptly. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management. Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and oncology protocols. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the cancer journey. ✅ Qualifications: Active RN License in IL BLS certification required; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of oncology or acute care nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to provide compassionate care in emotionally challenging situations.
