Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – OB/GYN (Day Shift)

Job Summary

The Travel OB/GYN Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients in the obstetrics and gynecology unit, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and surgical recovery. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care for mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Administer medications and manage pain control as prescribed.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Provide newborn care and support patient education on postpartum recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OB/GYN or Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP and STABLE certifications.
• Experience in travel nursing.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
