Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Position Summary: Saint Marys Regional Health System is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel RN to join the Med/Surg Telemetry unit on night shift. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of acute medical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac telemetry needs, post-operative recovery, and acute medical diagnoses Monitor and interpret telemetry data and promptly report significant changes to the care team Administer medications, IV therapies, and other nursing treatments per physician orders Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans Document assessments, interventions, medications, and responses in the electronic health record Support patient education efforts related to diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards Qualifications: Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state eligibility Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN) Minimum 2 yearsof recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required; other specialty certifications preferred Proficiency in charting using electronic health records (e.g., Epic or Cerner) Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
