Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/11/2025 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ? Position Overview Join a Level 3 Perinatal Center with access to a Level 4 regional NICU. This unit specializes in high-risk obstetric care, managing complex antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal cases. L&D RNs support both well and compromised deliveries, including surgical cases such as C-sections, D&Cs, BTLs, and IOL/TOP patients with critical maternal-fetal conditions. ?‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities 1:1 patient ratios across shifts and weekends Circulate for routine and emergent deliveries Serve as “baby catcher” RN for all newborn deliveries Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (ICU, respiratory, pharmacy, social services, etc.) Float to Mother-Baby and Antepartum units as needed ✅ Requirements Minimum 2 years L&D experience — Preferred: 3 years Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate, EFM, FHM, NCC
Skills: High-risk deliveries, C-section recovery, hemorrhage management Fetal monitoring (EFM, interpretation) Experience with IABP, Impella devices — Preferred OBIX system familiarity — Preferred
Teaching hospital experience — Preferred Must be willing to care for IOL/TOP patients with medically indicated terminations ?
