**AUTO OFFER WITH CLINICAL PRESCREEN AND MANAGER REVIEW** Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** Department: LDRP *Certifications Required: BLS, NRP. C-EFM preferred* - Beds: 16 LDRP rooms - OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1 OR room on the unit - Births: 35 per month - Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:3 mother baby care, 1:1 Laboring - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetrical- have a level II NICU so keep anything about 32 weeks, L&D nurses also do post partum and newborn care - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Oxytocin, mag, Cytotec, PPH and hypertension protocols - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes - Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? Duties?: Working on a 24/7 OB tech - OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7?: 24/7 NP coverage, neonatal transport ability - EFM System: Novii - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-0630 / self scheduling with charge nurse, manager will approve - Weekend Requirements: Every other - Holiday Requirements: Rotating holiday, will have traveler work a holiday if it falls within assignment - Floating Requirements: We sometimes float to the NICU to take care of the feeder/grower babies if the L/D unit is closed and the NICU is open or if the NICU is busy. This is not an expectation, but a nice to do. - Additional Notes: Certified Lactation Consultants on staff, Attribute that will help a traveler be successful on this unit include being easy going, rolling with the flow, have a can-do questioning attitude with a strong work ethic and be a self starter, Preadmission clinic and tours are done by staff, massage therapy offered to patients Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
