Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Job Details:

• Facility: Methodist South Hospital
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (Unit Code: 26095)
• Location: 1300 Wesley Dr, Memphis, TN 38116
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Schedule: Rotating weekends required; block schedule not available

Job Requirements:

Experience:

• Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience with travel experience
  • OR 3 years of L&D experience with no travel experience
• Preferred:
  • Cerner charting experience
  • Experience in high-volume birthing centers

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA required)
• NRP preferred
• Additional OB certifications preferred (e.g., fetal monitoring)

Licensure:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State (NLC)
• Pending license not accepted

Traveler Restrictions:

• Local Radius Rule: Candidates must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Local candidates are not accepted

Facility and Unit Information:

• Unit Type: Labor & Delivery
• Patient Population: Pregnant women, well babies, high- and low-risk deliveries
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend deliveries
  • Serve as resuscitation nurse for newborns
  • Care for well babies

Float Policy:

• May float to similar units or campuses within 20 miles (rare unless noted)
