Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Decatur, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Managed high-acuity adult patients in a 20-bed ICU unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, including those with cardiogenic shock, post-cardiac interventions, GI bleed, stroke, pulmonary embolism, and renal/respiratory failure.
  • Performed critical interventions including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG, and rapid-response/code blue protocols.
  • Provided titration and management of vasoactive drips, sedation, and emergency IV medications.
  • Skilled in advanced airway and respiratory support: ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, suctioning (ETT/NT), and ABG interpretation.
  • Delivered expert care for central/PICC line management, arterial lines, blood product administration, and port access.
  • Supported pre-/post-cardiac cath and hemodialysis management; familiar with IABP, Impella, Arctic Sun/hypothermia protocol
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with IV team, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, radiology, and rapid response.
  • Floating within scope as needed
  • Compliant with infectious control measures, isolation precautions, PPE use, and hospital-wide safety standards.
