Must demonstrate proficiency in critical care interventions, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment. Mandatory RequirementsLicensure & CertificationsActive NC or Compact RN License (no pending licenses accepted)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA required)Must pass Advanced EKG exam (no exceptions)ExperienceMinimum 2 years ICU experience (first-time travelers considered case-by-case)Required Skills:Ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP)Titration of vasoactive/cardiac dripsArterial line/PICC managementICP monitoring (neuro ICU experience preferred)Epic charting proficiency (required)Unit & Facility DetailsPatient Ratio: 1:2–3Facility Type: 733-bed teaching hospital, Level III Trauma CenterSpecialty Populations:Post-op surgical, multi-system organ failureNeuro/trauma cases (sheath removal, craniotomy care)Hypothermia protocolsScrub Color: Royal blue and whiteClinical ResponsibilitiesManage complex critical care patients including:Ventilated patientsContinuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)Post-cardiac intervention monitoringImplement evidence-based protocols for:Sepsis managementInsulin dripsSedation/analgesiaParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds50-mile radius rule (no locals within 50 miles)
