Location: Rochester, NY
Start Date: 9/15
Assignment Length: 17 weeks
Schedule: 3x12s | Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights
Additional Requirements: On-call, callback, charge, holidays, and weekends as needed

Join a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department Observation Unit caring for adult patients under evaluation for hospital admission. This unit sees a rapid patient turnover (20–27/day) with an average stay of 27 hours, supported by 24/7 provider coverage. The role involves managing a wide range of observation and boarding patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care for diverse adult patients needing extended observation or awaiting inpatient placement

• Collaborate closely with physicians and ED staff to manage short-stay and full-admission patients

• Perform telemetry monitoring and support rapid care transitions

Requirements:

• Active NY RN License (no exceptions)

• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience

• Telemetry experience required

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA only)

• NIHSS preferred
