**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse with experience in both circulating and scrub roles for a large teaching hospital. This position involves working in diverse surgical specialties, including orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro procedures. The successful candidate must be available for both day and evening shifts, with rotating on-call and weekend responsibilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system efficiently, as recent experience is required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and circulating surgical cases.
**Requirements:**
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience, preferably in a large teaching hospital.
- Proven experience in both scrub and circulate roles; candidates must provide skills checklists.
- Strong clinical knowledge in surgical specialties (ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, neuro).
- Ability to explain any gaps in employment exceeding 90 days.
- Reliable transportation is essential, as public transportation is not accessible in this area. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
**Additional Information:**
- Flexibility to float to other facilities, if needed.
- No block scheduling; availability from Monday to Sunday required.
