Start Date: July 14, 2025 (ASAP) Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Contract) Number of Openings: 3 Positions Shift Details: Shift Options: Day or Night (candidate can choose) Day Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Night Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Block Schedule: No (Weekend block may be considered) Weekend Requirement: As needed On-Call: As needed Role Summary: The CVICU RN will provide advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients within the intensive care setting. The role requires a strong foundation of recent ICU experience with a focus on cardiac and surgical critical care.
Required Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience with travel nursing experience , or 3 years of recent CVICU experience without travel Strong, recent ICU experience is mandatory At least 1 completed travel assignment for travel candidates Active RN license in a Compact state or Tennessee license at time of submission ADN or higher (BSN preferred but not required except for specific units) Cerner experience preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required and current Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates) No pending licenses; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines Patient Population & Unit Overview: Care for critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions including post-operative cardiac surgery patients, heart failure, dysrhythmias, and patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiac life support Patients may include those with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), ventricular assist devices (VAD), and other advanced cardiac support devices Provide continuous assessment and monitoring of complex physiologic parameters, titration of vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and multidisciplinary collaboration
