In addition, may perform telephone assessment of patient condition and determine appropriate treatment for patient under the supervision of the provider.Job Functions1. Administers parenteral fluids, blood and blood components, pharmacological agents, nutritional solutions and pain medications.2. Assesses patient health problems needs and develops, implements and evaluates patient care plans accordingly.3. Advises and educates patients, family members and significant others on health maintenance and disease prevention for the patient.4. Documents and maintains accurate medical records and reports5. .Participates in quality improvement activities as appropriate to position.6. Serves as a patient advocate in seeking appropriate community resources to meet patient needs.7. Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers, other healthcare providers, and colleagues to enhance own professional nursing practice.8. Demonstrates competencies in the specialty area of Infusion.9.
