Job Title: Senior Nuclear Medicine / PET‑CT Technologist

Schedule & Shift Structure

  • Day Shift (1st Shift): 08:00–16:30 or 08:30–17:00 (Mon–Fri), with five 8‑hour shifts per week.
  • Holiday Weeks: No patient scheduling on federal holidays; option to work four 10‑hour shifts as alternate schedule.
  • Rotation: Four 8‑hour day shifts, one evening shift, plus at least one Saturday shift per month. No on‑call required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a daily caseload of approximately 33 PET/CT scans using two PET/CT scanners, primarily oncologic FDG whole‑body studies, with periodic Brain PET and limited Cardiac and neuroendocrine imaging.
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals (e.g. FDG) in accordance with protocols.
  • Position, scan, process, and archive images using PACS; perform IV starts when needed.
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices, maintain QC procedures, and record tracer usage.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and medical staff to provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging.
  • Cross‑level support in general Nuclear Medicine, including tumor localization, brain, cardiac, and other routine studies

Qualifications

  • Experience in both PET/CT and general Nuclear Medicine settings (outpatient, inpatient).
  • Required certifications/licenses:
    • ARRT (Radiography or Nuclear Medicine) and/or NMTCB certification
    • Valid State Nuclear Medicine license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification IndeedIndiana Academy of Physician Assistants
  • Proven ability with IV starts, PET/CT scanning, PACS and dose calculation software systems.
  • Strong patient-care skills and communication—comfortable explaining procedures and supporting patients emotionally during oncology 

Preferred

  • Prior experience or certification in Brain PET, Cardiac PET, and tumor localization studies.
  • Fluency in both general NM procedures and high-volume PET/CT oncology workflows.
