Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician - $2,476 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in Athens, Georgia.

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for an immediate travel opening in Athens, GA. The right NMT must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
  • Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
  • Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
  • Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Provide assistance to patients during procedures
  • Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.

NMTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. NMTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Compensation

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
