Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Deliver comprehensive patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a 21-bed Med/Surg unit Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration (including Heparin drips, blood products, TPN, etc.) Manage lines including peripheral, PICC, and central lines Follow isolation precautions, manage GI-related diagnoses (e.g., appendicitis, pancreatitis, bowel obstruction, colon cancer) Utilize and respond to Rapid Response Teams Collaborate with interdisciplinary services including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, and more Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage
