* Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift
* Unit Details: 102-1300-15004-Labor and Delivery
Job Description:
As an L&D RN, you'll care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. You'll support families during life-changing moments while managing high-risk situations with skill and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs throughout labor and delivery
* Assist physicians and midwives during childbirth
* Administer medications and IVs, including epidurals and Pitocin
* Educate and support patients and families on birth plans and newborn care
* Manage emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
* Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
* BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certification preferred
* Minimum 1-2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
* Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols and fetal monitoring interpretation
* Calm, confident decision-making in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
