Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract assignment supporting both Medical-Surgical and Skilled Nursing units. This role requires flexibility to float between departments and provide high-quality care to adult and non-critical pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a Med-Surg setting
Provide care for non-critical pediatric patients
Float to the Skilled Nursing unit as needed based on patient census
Accurately document patient care using electronic medical records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
Experience with
Cerner EMR
(required)
Current
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
certification
Current
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
certification
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
Contract position with a 13-week assignment
Weekly billing cycle
Facility may adjust schedule based on census, including limited call-offs
Overtime and holiday policies apply per contract guidelines
Travelers should be prepared to secure housing independently
