Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel EEG Technologist for a travel job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics - EEG Tech -
Minimum experience required: 1 year required per industry standard
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types Studies Performed/Locations: Seizure disorder, Coma status, ICU patients for cardiac arrest, Trauma, Typical hospital EEGs.
Perform routine around 40 minutes on adults; children routine/sleep deprived 60 minutes. 
Patient Population: All ages NICU, PICU/Peds, Adults (ICU and all other units), Isolation patients
Clinic EEGs are generally seizure disorders/sleep deprived studies.
Adults 40 minutes. Children over 60 minutes
Required Certifications: BLS, ABRET registered in EEG
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Some college (preferred)
Skills required: EEGs experience with Neonates-Adults, proficient hookups and trouble shooting skills, proficient in all areas of hospital (ICU, Peds, Neonate, ED), able to work independently, self-sufficient, knowledge of medications effects on EEGs, excellent communication skills with physicians and team. 
Applicants need to know it is extremely busy on some days, slow the next and some call weekends are tough, some not too bad. They can expect on their call weekend to be called in but the following week we do try to offer some relief with schedules (leaving early, day off, etc.). Department works closely with the Neuro hospitalists in the Department.
Departmental Support: Departmental Support:(4) Techs total in department1 CNIM/R.EEGT, 1 R.EEGT/EMG, 2 EEG Tech The CNIM techs rotate surgeries, if not doing surgeries are available for inpatient EEG help. 
Charting System: EPIC
Equipment used: Nihon Khoden EEG machines
Floating: May be required to float between two Clinics 
Orientation: 1 Day
Scheduling: Standard shift: Monday Friday 0800 to 1700 
Applicant needs to know it is extremely busy on some days, slow the next so Flexibility is KEY
Call required: every 3rd week from Monday 1700 to the following Monday 0800W
