This role supports a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab, requiring expertise in imaging during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Candidates must hold a valid Radiologic Technologist license—Cardiovascular Techs without this license will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate imaging equipment during cardiac cath, angioplasty, and STEMI response procedures
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, equipment, and patient positioning
Assist the physician with contrast injection and imaging acquisition
Monitor patient status and procedural flow in collaboration with RNs and physicians
Respond promptly to STEMI on-call cases, including off-hour emergencies
Maintain documentation and comply with all radiation safety protocols
Perform daily quality control checks and equipment calibration
Requirements:
Current California Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
BLS certification (AHA – Required)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Cath Lab experience (Required)
Experience with STEMI/emergency cardiac interventions (Strongly Preferred)
Must be able to fulfill on-call duties as scheduled
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, imaging techniques, and cath lab workflows
