Territory Sales Representative – Exterior Building Products
We’re seeking motivated, result-driven Independent Contractor Sales Representatives to expand reach and to drive growth. Slate is recognized as a sustainable, natural, durable, economical and environmentally friendly solution for roofing and designing modern facades in a contemporary linear style. Join us as a commission-only 1099 contractor role with unlimited earning potential.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
- Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
- Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
- Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
- Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
- Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
- Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
- Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.
What we are looking for:
- Proven sales experience preferably in a related field.
- A success-oriented attitude evidencing enthusiasm, flexibility, drive and resilience.
- Relationship building skills with the ability to influence others.
- Love for communicating and high pleasure in dealing with customers and people in general.
- Self- motivated with a success-oriented attitude, determination and drive.
- Cooperative and being team-oriented in mindset and actions.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor and manage your schedule.
- Existing relationships in slate, stone, roofing, homebuilding, construction, solar or similar fields is a plus.
