You would be assisting the pharmacists in the fulfillment of prescription orders from start to finish, while providing excellent customer service and supporting all pharmacy department and organizational goals. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION In this role, you will create and maintain accurate patient profiles, ensuring timely and precise prescription orders and seamless insurance adjudication. By addressing routine inquiries regarding medication coverage, prices, product availability, and formulary listings, you'll become a trusted resource for patients and clinical staff. By engaging in various tasks across pharmacy workstations, you'll leverage the electronic medical record system to efficiently communicate with internal staff for medication refills and non-clinical questions. You'll play a crucial role in reviewing medication purchases, ensuring cost-effective decisions that benefit both patients and the organization. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster strong relationships and cooperation in patient care, staff relations, and pharmacy development. QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHARMACY TECH OPENING Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
