Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift Are you a Pharmacy Technician looking for full-time work in Portland, ME? We're hiring for our client, an innovative and prominent health care organization, who are looking for a Pharmacy Tech. You would be assisting the pharmacists in the fulfillment of prescription orders from start to finish, while providing excellent customer service and supporting all pharmacy department and organizational goals. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION In this role, you will create and maintain accurate patient profiles, ensuring timely and precise prescription orders and seamless insurance adjudication. By addressing routine inquiries regarding medication coverage, prices, product availability, and formulary listings, you'll become a trusted resource for patients and clinical staff. By engaging in various tasks across pharmacy workstations, you'll leverage the electronic medical record system to efficiently communicate with internal staff for medication refills and non-clinical questions. You'll play a crucial role in reviewing medication purchases, ensuring cost-effective decisions that benefit both patients and the organization. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster strong relationships and cooperation in patient care, staff relations, and pharmacy development. QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHARMACY TECH OPENING Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous pharmacy experience is preferred Experience in a medical setting and/or knowledge of pharmacy terms and abbreviations preferred, such as HIPAA compliance Skills: Windows Based Computer skills: data entry and word processing ability Demonstrated telephone etiquette and positive interpersonal skills Ability to handle difficult conversations with patients and internal customers Ability to multitask among phone and face-to-face interactions despite frequent interruptions Detailed oriented and excellent follow-through skills Excellent time management skills, handling tasks appropriately, efficiently, and effectively Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-production, high stress environment If you're looking for your next opportunity in the healthcare field, then apply today!
