Purpose
In support of ET DNAC project, perform skilled, technical work related to the installation, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of data communications equipment. Performs related duties as required. May maintain records associated with the inventory and usage of data communication equipment.
Responsibilities
Data Entry Review data for errors, missing items, or missing information and resolves any discrepancies. Uploading maps to Airwave and placing Wireless access points on maps.
Upload maps into DNA Center, and then reference the AP location information in Airwave, and replicate it in DNA Center. Verify locations of equipment in the field.
Required Qualifications
High school grad or GED. Three (3) years of experience in data communication. Ability to read maps. Computer Skills and basic software knowledge. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions. Ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of image formats: JPEG vs PDF vs DWG. Organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Multi-tasking is a must. Ability to meet deadlines. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience in telecom and networking field. Experience with wireless networks. Experience using Airwave, DNA Center, Meridian Explorer software.
Driving Required
This job requires a Class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

The work hours are from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
