Template Technician LT-2D3D Laser Templator Operator
Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Template Technician experienced with the LT-2D3D Laser Templator system to join our countertop fabrication team. The technician will be responsible for accurately capturing job site measurements and creating digital templates for stone countertop fabrication, ensuring precision and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to residential and commercial job sites to perform field measurements using the LT-2D3D Laser Templator.
• Interpret blueprints, project specifications, and client requests to ensure accurate templating.
• Generate and review digital files (.DXF) for use by CAD and CNC fabrication teams.
• Assess site conditions (walls, cabinetry, plumbing, and electrical) to identify potential issues or installation challenges.
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and installers to confirm scope and expectations.
• Ensure all measurements are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Upload and organize project files to the company server and/or project management system.
• Maintain and care for laser equipment, vehicle, and measurement tools.
• Provide feedback on potential changes or issues discovered during site visits.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in countertop templating or related field preferred.
• Proficient in operating the LT-2D3D Laser Templator or similar digital templating systems.
• Basic understanding of CAD software and digital file handling (.DXF, .DWG).
• Strong knowledge of countertop materials (granite, quartz, quartzite, etc.) and fabrication standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, occasionally work in tight or awkward spaces.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both clients and internal teams.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

• Field-based position with daily travel to job sites.
• Use of company-provided vehicle and equipment.
• Occasional overtime or flexible hours depending on project schedules.
