What You'll Do:
Assist in the preparation and setup of equipment for testing Collect and analyze data and prepare reports summarizing findings Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies Collaborate with engineers and other team members to complete projects efficiently Engage with contractors, surveyors, clients, project managers and supervisor in all situations in a professional, positive and polite manner Keep up-to-date on a daily basis, all assigned projects via project managers, supervisor or other technicians Keep up-to-date on a daily basis, all assigned projects via project managers, supervisor or other technicians Attend all tailgate safety meetings for each project assigned Attend all Leighton Loss Prevention Meetings What You'll Bring: High School Diploma or GED Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering a plus Must be able to work outdoors, lift heavy objects, be attentive and concentrate efforts on learning technical skills Experience in construction or field related industries Previous work emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering a plus Ability to read, analyze, perform simple mathematical computations, read and interpret general plans, specifications and project specific geotechnical reports, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to clearly write daily reports Strong communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word & Excel Salary Range:
$23-25/hr.
