JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
The system administrator in this position will be working with the DevOps team. The selected candidate will be expected to help in the design, acquisition, configuration, maintenance, and management of new and existing networks. They'll need knowledge of both VMware and HyperV virtualization, as well as both Windows and Linux OS. The selected candidate will possess a strong desire to learn, the ability to adapt quickly, and be able to work well in both a team setting and an individual setting.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Support all system-related issues for assigned systems.
Provide troubleshooting support of system hardware, software, and networking issues.
Install, configure, maintain, and administer servers, operating systems, and applications.
Support operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operations, and maintenance of servers.
Organize and secure directory structure and assist/train team members in its utilization.
Deploy and administer software patches and updates.
Administer backup and recovery services.
Monitor systems for health.
Establish reports and trends systems performance.
Strong ability to provide hans-on server support
Partner with other IT team members with strong collaborative capabilities to build a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
Ability to auther and maintain IT procedural documentation.
Provide regular systems monitoring and standardized reporting to identify system hardware and/or software and operating system problems, this includes identifying problems and determining the most efficient way to resolve them.
Maintain documentation of all hardware and software implementation, maintenance, and upgrades, this includes equipment and software inventories and maintenance documentation.
Collaborate with the other System Administrators, Cyber Security, and other functional business units.
Apply Cyber Security standards, directives, guidance, and policies to an architectural framework as directed.
Follow policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
Possess excellent Customer Service skills.
Perform diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for customer issues.
Understanding and experience with storage technologies.
Evaluate existing technologies and provides recommendations for enhancements.
Must work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Perform related work as assigned.
Must possess or obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 180 days of hire.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Technology or quivalent scientific or technical discipline from an accredited institution or a combination of formal education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree.

Knowledge of and experience with PDQ software deployment and inventory management.
Knowledge of and experience with and ability to perform STIGs and remotely control servers.
Knowledge of and experience with containerization, orchestration, and micro-services architecture, including Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge and experience with air-gapped networks.
Knowledge and experience with VMWare Suite products and Hyper-V.
Knowledge and experience with virtualization, virtual networking, and iSCSI.
Knowledge of and experience with AD, DHCP, DNS, File, and Print Servers.
Knowledge of and experience with backup and recovery methods and verification.
Knowledge of and experience with Storage (SAN, NAS, Local, Attached).
Knowledge of and experience with Active Directory and design.
Ability to assist/design in the architecture of new networks, submit requests for hardware/software, and deploy it.
Ability to provide support outside of normal business hours.
Ability to test networking cables.
Critical thinking and problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to independently understand, troubleshoot, and resolve typical IT related issues.
Ability to work in fast paced, schedule-driven, and customer-oriented environment.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training. Possess seven years related experience or combination of experience in computer system basics and/or related areas of expertise. Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.
In addition, a Systems Administrator III must possess the following qualifications:
Must possess or obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 180 days of hire.
Must have specific experience in the use of MS window server environments and various computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), database, MS Office and Web enabled applications
Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines
Employee is expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments
Must be capable of updating or repairing computer systems
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be asked to make functional the initiatives established by management and will coordinate with other organizations as affected by upgrades, capabilities, policy and procedures. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.
