The Role
We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Senior Vice President (SVP), Product responsible for shaping and executing the product vision across Lumen's Product Houses and Segments. This role will oversee the full product lifecycle-from ideation to delivery-across Fabric Infrastructure, Services and Solutions as well as deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-centric solutions that drive business growth, operational excellence, and market differentiation across our Segments. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure alignment on product priorities, go-to-market strategies, and seamless execution across the organization. As a key driver of Lumen's transformation, this role is critical to achieving the company's North Star-delivering exceptional customer experiences, accelerating digital innovation, and unlocking long-term value through a unified and forward-looking product strategy.
The Main Responsibilities
Define and drive the unified product vision and roadmap across all product houses and customer segments
Conduct market research, customer interviews, and data analysis to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities.
Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management, including incubation, transformation, performance, and productivity.
Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring Lumen remains a trusted partner that delivers innovative products, and establish strong internal cross-functional relationships at all levels to drive success.
Develop and execute detailed business plans including revenue and customer adoption targets, solutions packaging, and go-to-market plans with cross-functional partners to achieve clear financial goals.
Define metrics to ensure product success and drive corresponding requirements to deliver on monitoring and actionability of these metrics.
Ensure that products and their digital interactions provide additional value to the Lumen portfolio and an excellent user experience, establishing practices that continue to integrate UX into the product development processes.
Lead the cross-functional development and implementation of long-term strategies for the business that meet financial objectives, leveraging insights on industry and customer trends, anticipating complex challenges and opportunities, and ensuring integration with broader corporate strategy.
Drive the end-to-end delivery of the new product or / and enhancements, supporting product house and segment programs.
Conduct continuous improvement analysis of customer activity, team performance, and company processes to identify areas of opportunity while developing and quantifying appropriate improvement plans.
Serve as a member of the Leadership Team for the business, building strong peer relationships and contributing to cross-functional problem solving, to drive continuous improvement and profitable growth.
Serve as a thought leader for the business in the industry, including interacting with analysts, speaking at events, and being active in industry associations to influence policy and market trends.
Develop and implement a robust business planning process and operational cadence across all segments which closely aligns to Lumen's product and growth strategy including long-term and annual execution plans.
What We Look For in a Candidate
15+ years of product leader experience in Enterprise and Hyperscaler segments, preferably in cloud, data, or AI domains or related fields along with experience leading a managed & professional services function within Product & Technology.
Experience in product management (within NaaS, SaaS, Enterprise Software, or Cloud Platforms). Experience in delivering UIs for consumption of digital services or delivering value through Marketplaces is mandatory
10+ years of high-level leadership experience in managing and growing product teams.
Proficient knowledge of managed services best practices, industry trends, and technologies, especially in the areas of Management and Consulting, and AI Ops.
Strong understanding of customer needs, challenges, and expectations as they relate to Enterprise, Hyperscaler, Wholesale, Mid Markets, Indirect, and Public Sector segments.
Deep expertise in managed services, cybersecurity, UX, and agile product development.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L for large product portfolios.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Proven track record for launching new product and services - from product design to serving customers - within a large company environment but working at a start-up pace including consumption model-based services delivered via a modular platform or exposing APIs for integration into 3rd party offerings.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams in an agile and fast-paced environment.
Experienced in building and managing high performing product teams, including hiring, talent development, coaching, and performance management.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$273,787 - $365,050 in all states.
