The Supervising Administrative Clerk supervises the work of staff performing clerical functions; may personally perform the most difficult and responsible clerical work; provides some administrative assistance to departmental management; and does other related work as required.
The Department of Social Services' Children's Services Branch (CWS) has a current vacancy they are seeking to fill. The position provides administrative coordination and scheduling support for CWS which includes staff scheduling, meeting facilitation, vehicle coordination, resource tracking, and support for social work staff and supervisors. They also would oversee calendar systems, maintain program rosters and inventories, and supervise Social Worker Aides in the North County & Higuera DSS locations. This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, limited term, and temporary positions, both full-time and part-time throughout the County.
The ideal candidate for this position would possess the following:

* Familiarity with CMS data entry and CWS procedures (preferred)
Education & Experience
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
Either A: Three years of experience at the journey worker clerical level.
Or B: One year of experience as a Senior Clerk/Senior Typist Clerk or an equivalent position. In addition, successful completion of a supervisory training course is highly desirable.
