NuCara Pharmacy is a dynamic, growing, retail pharmacy serving patients in Austin and surrounding areas in Texas. We are looking for a full-time highly motivated, efficient, and adaptable Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician. At NuCara, our goal is to provide the best service to our community by offering a wide variety of products. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working as a team to provide prompt, high-quality care to our patients.

Requirements

Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task. Excellent attention to detail. Independently motivated. Ability to learn and accurately apply policies and procedures. Knowledge of medications and medical terminology is required for transcribing prescription orders. Demonstrates ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Compounding of sterile medications
Ability to perform aseptic technique
Retail technician duties
Data entry
Ability to work as a team
Lab cleaning duties
Inventory & equipment management
Compliance with USP guidelines
Following Texas State Board of Pharmacy and accreditation standards
Proactive listener and effective speaker
Actively searching for ways to be of assistance
Good decision-making and problem-solving ability
Strong teaching skills
Effective reading comprehension to understand work-related documents
Knowledge of mathematics to solve problems
High effective time management skills
Good knowledge of learning strategies to select and use instructional methods.
Effective communication skills in writing
Able to stand for very long times.
Able to follow written and oral instructions effectively
Strong interpersonal and people skills

Qualifications and Skills

Certified pharmacy technician registered in the state of Texas
Previous sterile compounding experience
Must be ACPE-certified
