Position Accountabilities:  1. Initiates a multidisciplinary, goal oriented care plan for each patient in collaboration with members of the health care team and provides care based on that plan. 2. Adheres to DMC practices for pain management with specific consideration of patient’s functional/ developmental age, gender, cultural, and/or personal preferences. 3. Demonstrates appropriate use of restraints. 4. Adheres to DMC practices for moderate sedation. Identifies resources for guidelines to ensure safe care and monitoring of patients. 5. Identifies patients at risk for abuse as well as associated signs and symptoms. States mandatory reporting requirements for healthcare professionals. 6. Ensures patient safety by assessing and proactively implementing safety measures with specific consideration of patient’s functional and developmental age. 7.
