The Sr. Manager, Event Operations supports the cross-functional teams in leading planning, management and execution of global Hourglass consumer events, including brand, retail and immersive experiences.
The right person for the role will have a proven track record of using project planning tools and cross-functional team coordination to bring an event from concept to reality, while helping teams navigate any challenges to ensure smooth go-to-market execution. This person will have the ability to quickly identify risks, solve roadblocks, and concurrently drive multiple projects forward while coordinating teams.
This role will be responsible for leading, managing, planning, and tracking strategic and tactical steps of Hourglass in-person events, considering critical inputs from other teams. This role will focus on leading overall project plans, communication, risk analysis, and coordination of internal teams and external vendors to bring a campaign concept to life.
The Sr. Manager, Event Operations will work closely with multiple, global cross-functional departments (e.g. Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Creative, Education, Artistry) to oversee the global launch and strategy surrounding in-person events and pop-ups. They will help ensure that various stakeholders clearly understand their respective key steps and/or milestones for a successful project delivery.
WHAT YOU DO:
Own end-to-end and track project plans and timelines for global brand and product events
Design the overall project plan, and the development of timelines; from concept sign-off to event go-live
Manage and monitor the end-to-end project timelines for 5-10 annual brand events around the world, leading regular status meetings with key stakeholders to ensure all critical milestones are achieved in the plan
Lead collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, ensuring they are kept appropriately informed of project activities and kept accountable for respective steps
Deliver clear, concise, and effective executive level communication
Identify, secure, and coordinate internal and external resources and expertise to achieve project objectives, ensuring the team is appropriately staffed for upcoming projects
Ensure that projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting milestones and budget
Anticipating and planning for changes in project as necessary to achieve project success
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team or outside partners
Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or business. Agency experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience within project management, preferably with prior experience in event production
Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and all levels of an organization
Strong leader with the ability to clearly communicate and gain alignment with cross functional team members
Entrepreneurial and ambitious, with the ability to spot opportunities and work independently with minimal supervision
Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork and innovation

The expected base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
