Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Investigator to join and lead our investigative team. In this role, you will oversee a team of investigators, providing guidance and support to our intake, pre-litigation, and litigation departments. Responsibilities include conducting field investigations, supervising investigative processes, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The role requires local travel for scene documentation, witness interviews, and evidence collection, with occasional weekend or after-hours work.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of investigators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to firm standards Provide investigative support to intake, pre-litigation, and litigation departments Analyze and report findings from police reports, 911 calls, and other case materials Oversee and conduct background, asset, and social media investigations Lead witness interviews and ensure accurate collection of statements Direct the identification and collection of video evidence Manage scene documentation through photography, measurements, and diagrams Write, review, and approve detailed investigation reports in collaboration with management and attorneys Train on investigative techniques, report writing, and case management Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement process improvements Ensure all department KPIs are met.
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in personal injury law or 5+ years criminal investigation experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager Valid drivers license High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure team accuracy Superior communication and customer service abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines Reliable transportation Private Investigator License
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Schedule & Travel
Full-time Monday through Friday with occasional weekend/after-hours work 25% local travel expected
