The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Sr. Databricks Engineer for an immediate contract to hire role. This is with the nation's largest recycler of any product, has exceptional work life balance, job stability and ecological values, with an organization where we've successfully placed over 25 professionals! This is a contract-to-hire position with the intention (and budget) to go Full Time within 6 months, including earning our client's VERY lucrative bonus structure (Averaging 53.8% over the past 4 years for full time employees)! You will work on-site 3-5 days/week in one of the following locations: - Phoenix, AZ - Salt Lake City, UT area - Florence, SC - Northern Alabama A day in the life will include the following opportunities: Define and model the data integration design across our client's BI groups
Ensure that industry-accepted data design principles and standards are established and followed to meet technical and business goals. Maintain secure, high quality, and reliable data and data delivery. Work closely with teams to collect and translate information and requirements for scalable, data-centric solutions. Leading this effort requires coordination and integration with various project teams Provide assistance and thought leadership toward defining our client's data management and governance strategy.
Your profile should include most of the following: 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing modern data integration and data warehouse solutions Experience and expertise in designing data solutions in Microsoft Azure, specifically using technologies like Databricks (must), SQL queries, DataFrames, PySpark, etc. Extensive hands-on experience implementing dependable ETL/ADF solutions that assure data integrity and accuracy Hands-on experience in Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and/or Data Lakehouses at scale Knowledge of popular BI tools such as Power BI and self-service BI environments (nice to have) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, etc.) Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines in Azure Fabric Experience with Power BI reporting Exposure to data governance and master data management practices Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related discipline.
