Job Summary: We are seeking a culinary professional with a strong front-of-house demeanor to join our team in a healthcare environment. This individual should be skilled in both kitchen operations and customer service, able to communicate effectively with culinary staff, patients, clients, and guests in the caf or patient dining areas. As a Cafe Manager you will play a key role in delivering a high standard of food service that supports the health, satisfaction, and well-being of our patients and healthcare community. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and lead a team dedicated to excellence in both food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, hire, train, and coach food service associates
• Collaborate with clinical teams and dietitians to meet patient dietary needs
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, guests, and healthcare staff
• Manage caf and patient dining operations, ensuring quality and consistency
• Plan, market, and execute special events and promotions in the caf
• Ensure compliance with all health department, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost-effective improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 13 years of relevant experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset
• Experience in managing food service operations and teams
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and modified food textures a plus
• Familiarity with food service equipment and cash handling procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred
