Job Overview: We are looking for a Sr. Automation / Controls Technician to join a growing Field Services team. This role requires a strong electrical and electro-mechanical background with hands-on experience in industrial automation systems, PLCs, and control panel troubleshooting. Ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic field service environment and enjoys problem-solving across various customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, install, and maintain control systems in industrial environments.

Program and modify PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.).

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control blueprints.

Conduct field diagnostics and root cause analysis on automation systems.

Provide start-up support, system upgrades, and on-site electrical maintenance.

Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in automation, controls, or electrical maintenance.

Strong working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Experience with VFDs, sensors, HMIs, and control systems.

Comfortable working independently in customer facilities and on job sites.

Ability to travel as needed for field service assignments.

Preferred Experience:

Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification.

Background in machine automation, robotics, or panel building is a plus.
