What You’ll Do: Primary Responsibilities: Clinical Training: Work under the direct supervision of licensed Sonographers and clinical instructors to gain hands-on experience. Patient Care: Assist with preparing patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety. Scanning Practice: Perform limited ultrasound exams as allowed by their training level, while being closely monitored. Equipment Use: Learn how to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment properly and safely. Documentation: Help with charting and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation under supervision. Compliance: Follow all Novant Health policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety protocols. Team Collaboration: Participate in daily department functions and support technologists and other healthcare staff. ? What We’re Looking For: Education: High School Diploma Required. Currently enrolled in CAAHEP or ARRT-recognized Sonography Program or ARRT required. Experience: Successful completion of two semesters in CAAHEP or ARRT-recognized Sonography Program required. Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department –specific skills validation. Good communication skills. Working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment.
