General Summary
Responsible for the provision of social work services to patients and their families.
Education/Experience Required
Masters of Social Work degree required. Must be a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW). ACSW and previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Demonstrates understanding of the impact of involvement, personal attitude toward illness, handicaps, death and loss, on the quality of patient care and staff effectiveness. Knowledgeable of the basic medical procedures, terminology, etiology and disease process associated with the illnesses of the client population.
Certifications/Licensures Required
Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Social Worker (LMSW).
