Position Description Job Summary: The Shop Administrator supports daily shop operations through a blend of administrative coordination, light janitorial tasks, and equipment-related support. This role is key to ensuring the shop stays organized, well-supplied, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, maintaining records, processing paperwork, and supporting communication between shop, field, and management staff. Run local errands, including picking up supplies and delivering parts to job sites or vendors. Assist with inventory tracking, stocking, and organizing shop materials and tools. Support light janitorial duties including sweeping, trash removal, and maintaining clean common areas. Perform basic equipment checks and assist with minor troubleshooting tasks. Prepare work areas and support mechanics or technicians as needed. Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and shop policies. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Position Requirements Required Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools or equipment. Clear verbal communication and dependable interpersonal skills. Proficient in basic computer tasks and office systems. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ years of experience in a shop, warehouse, or field support role is preferred. Experience with tools, inventory, or equipment coordination a plus. Physical and Additional Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift. May be required to travel locally for pickups and deliveries. Comfortable working in both indoor shop and outdoor yard environments.
