Job Summary:
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality service, timely maintenance, and repairs on customer and dealer-owned equipment. You will play a key role in customer satisfaction, team leadership, and driving the financial success of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Department Leadership

  • Manage all service work, repairs, and equipment maintenance, both for customers and internally.
  • Screen, hire, and coach a competent team while monitoring their skill development for continuous education.
  • Ensure the department runs profitably by analyzing internal costs and achieving profit targets.
  • Oversee work performance and ensure timely, high-quality completion of tasks.
  • Develop strategies to grow and expand the service department.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines and participate in relevant training.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the shop foreman and warranty administrator to streamline service delivery.
  • Address customer complaints effectively and maintain a positive company image.

Safety Management

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the shop, adhering to OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Train staff on safety measures and conduct routine walkthroughs to ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in agriculture or construction equipment service is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expertise in diagnostics, equipment repair, and OEM requirements.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong mathematical skills for budgeting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.
