Job Description

Weve been exclusively retained by a boutique CPA firm in Austin, Texas that specializes in ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices. The firm is adding a Senior Tax Associate to its growing team. This role is focused on tax preparation and transactional execution, not people management though for the right individual, it can evolve into a Tax Manager track with continued experience and CPA licensure.

The firm operates on a primarily remote model, with occasional in-person meetings for training or client engagements.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex individual, trust, and partnership tax returns for ultra-high net worth clients
Support tax planning efforts and assist with year-end projections
Maintain and manage accurate client financial records in Access and QuickBooks
Collaborate closely with firm leadership and contribute to ongoing client relationship management
Attend periodic in-office sessions for training, team alignment, and client meetings

Qualifications:

24 years of recent tax experience in public accounting
Proficiency with Access and QuickBooks
Experience supporting high net worth or ultra high net worth clients is required
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying engaged with the broader team
