LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading Construction and Engineering firm to assist them in identifying their next Senior Project Accountant . The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in accounting or finance, have extensive industry experience in architecture, construction or engineering and demonstrate proficiency in using Deltek software. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, providing strategic financial guidance and supporting the overall financial health of our client's organization.

Senior Project Accountant Responsibilities: Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making Oversee project cost accounting, including tracking and analyzing job costs, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses and providing cost control recommendations Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies Utilize Deltek software for project accounting, financial reporting and system improvements. Train and support team members in using Deltek effectively Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for financial performance improvement Work closely with project managers, department heads and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business objectives Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

Senior Project Accountant Requirements: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 5+ years of accounting experience in the architecture, construction or engineering industries Proficiency in Deltek software is required. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required
