Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support and enhance our procurement and subcontracting processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong government contracting experience, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for mentorship and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will support cross-functional teams, drive strategic sourcing, and help build scalable supply chain practices as EO continues to grow.

This position is in-office, based in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide procurement and subcontracts support across multiple programs

• Negotiate pricing and terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors

• Evaluate risks and develop procurement and subcontracting strategies

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality performance

• Provide mentorship and training for junior procurement staff

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, FAR/DFAR, and applicable regulations

• Develop and monitor supply chain analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Support cross-functional projects with data analysis and supply chain insights

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, subcontracts, or supply chain for government prime contracts

• 5+ years of experience administering compliance policies and procedures, including FAR/DFAR

• Experience negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience working with internal and external stakeholders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations (22 C.F.R. § 120.15)

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% for cross-training

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience directly managing suppliers

• Experience overseeing supplier quality and delivery performance

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Education & Experience:
Typically 5+ years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
