Position Summary... What you'll do... Join the Walmart Commercial Litigation Team as Senior Paralegal (Commercial Litigation). This dynamic role supports in-house litigation counsel primarily in the areas of real estate disputes, general commercial litigation, tax disputes, and product labeling claims. Youu2019ll make an impact by: + Providing support to attorneys by managing legal processes; receiving and reviewing requests for information; collecting, entering and maintaining legal information in various legal systems. + Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, providing status updates on legal processes, and responding to questions about legal matters. + Assisting attorneys with legal research and analysis by identifying necessary information and helping determine relevant facts to support legal arguments; helping attorneys ensure legal documents comply with applicable laws and regulations. + Assisting attorneys with conducting custodial interviews and drafting litigation hold notices. + Maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive information, data, and communications. + Assisting with the review of invoices for legal services and identifying ways to reduce legal spend. + Identifying areas where risk can be mitigated and helping internal stakeholders understand legal obligations. + Drafting, proofreading and updating presentations, reports, and templates. + Demonstrating and maintaining working knowledge of commercial litigation processes and applicable law. Minimum Qualifications: + Nationally recognized paralegal certification or an accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years of experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal; or + 3 years of experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal; or + Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
