Job Description
The Senior Event Services Manager-Weddings and Social reports directly to the Director of Catering and Events and is responsible the the planning and execution of exclusive weddings and high-profile social events. This role is ideal for a polished professional who thrives in a fast- paced, service-driven environment and understands the nuances of luxury hospitality and personalized experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, is innovative, results-driven with a desire to exceed customer expectations. This role requires exceptional business acumen with attention to detail, and outstanding communications skills.. The candidate must have experience with event planning and execution. Commodore Perry Estate is looking for a leader and an active member of the team, handling high profile catering and events, while willing to be a part of the operation. The Senior Events Services Manager - Weddings and Social will become a part of the Austin community, building relationships with key planners, city tastemakers and fellow industry professionals.
The position requires a schedule which matches client demand. Hours will flex based on site inspection requirements and event execution. It is expected that the Senior Event Services Manager is present to greet all clients in advance of events, check-in with them daily during on- site, and be present to review the final billing and conduct post-conference interviews. Weekends are required when site inspections, banquet or catering events are taking place on the property.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are: Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for wedding and social event clients from contract turnover through execution. Manage all aspects of event detailing, including timelines, menus, floor plans, vendor coordination, and client communications. Ensure that all event details are meticulously entered and updated in Delphi and communicated clearly with internal teams (culinary, operations, sales, etc.) through BEOs and Resume. Partner with the sales and catering team to ensure a seamless client experience from inquiry to post-event follow-up. Responsible for upselling all events from contracted revenue to completion of event Facilitate site visits, tastings, and client meetings, providing expert guidance and thoughtful service. Act as on-site event manager during functions, ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction. Collaborate with external vendors including planners, florists, rental companies, and entertainment providers to execute custom event visions. Maintain detailed records, BEOs, and event reports; conduct thorough pre- and post-event evaluations. Uphold Delphi standards ensuring all data and details are accurately recorded Uphold brand standards and the elevated guest experience expected at Auberge Resorts Collection properties. Build and maintain stellar relationships with wedding planners ensuring loyalty and trust with our partners. Attend industry networking events to build relationships with wedding industry professionals. Qualifications High School Graduate (required) College Education (preferred) Proven success in a similar role, prefer four years of Catering, Event & Wedding experience in a luxury market. Experience in hotels / resorts or event planning is required.
