The Team
We are seeking a Senior Director, Business PMO to oversee the Business Enablement function's Business Project Management Office and lead the planning, sequencing, and road mapping of enterprise wide business and IT projects. The office will provide coordination and governance of business-driven initiatives across process, data, and technology domains. This individual will ensure that strategic and operational initiatives are executed with discipline, transparency, and alignment to enterprise priorities. The Director will build and manage a centralized PMO capability that drives business case clarity, project prioritization, and execution excellence across regions and functions.
As a core pillar within the Business Enablement team, this leader will define and institutionalize a Business PMO Center of Excellence, act as a strategic partner to business and IT stakeholders, and deliver scalable frameworks for enterprise project governance. The ideal candidate will bring experience in PMO design and leadership, cross-functional program delivery, and strong business acumen, ideally within a global infrastructure or asset-intensive environment.

Lead the global Business PMO function, providing centralized direction and oversight of business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across global enterprise functions and regions.
Build and maintain a Business PMO Center of Excellence (CoE), developing tools, standards, training programs, and best practices to ensure consistent execution and capability development across the company.
Serve as the centralized point and resource planning management for business-side project management for initiatives requiring process optimization, technology enablement, data governance, reporting and IT.
Act as a clearing house for enterprise projects, managing classification, sequencing, and prioritization of both IT- and business-led initiatives.
Develop and govern enterprise-wide project intake processes, enabling alignment with strategic priorities and business value realization.
Support tracking, ensuring transparent evaluation of cost, impact, dependencies, and ROI.
Collaborate closely with IT PMO, Finance, Business Enablement, and executive leadership to ensure synchronized delivery and integrated planning.
Define and manage the business project portfolio roadmap, facilitating cross-functional planning sessions and portfolio reviews.
Ensure strong governance through the application of project and portfolio management methodologies, risk management practices, and change management principles. Partner with regional teams to ensure business PMO frameworks and practices are consistently applied, while allowing for local adaptation where needed.
Support continuous improvement in project execution across the enterprise by championing lessons learned, retrospective reviews, and stakeholder feedback loops.
Develop and Lead robust communication planning and execution across the enterprise and within regions, ensuring global alignment and clarity on project prioritization, pipeline, and status.
Provide leadership and mentorship to business program and project managers and analysts embedded within functional teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise PMO standards.
As a Director, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development for your team. You'll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.

Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree required.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in enterprise project management, PMO leadership, or transformation program delivery, ideally in infrastructure, real estate, or asset-intensive industries.
Proven experience designing and running a PMO or program governance function in a global, multi-region environment.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, business case development, portfolio governance, and change management.
Experience managing cross-functional programs involving technology, data, and process integration.
Demonstrated success implementing PMO best practices, training programs, and tools to scale project delivery excellence.
Ability to translate complex initiatives into structured execution plans aligned to strategic business priorities.
Familiarity with business transformation methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile/SAFe, BPM).
Experience working in a matrixed environment and managing stakeholder engagement across global and functional boundaries.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build consensus across senior leaders, business units, and IT.
Familiarity with enterprise PM tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Planview, or similar).
Fluency in English required; multilingual capabilities are a plus.
Approximately 20-25% travel may be required in support of this position's responsibilities.
