We are looking for a Senior Analytics Platform Engineer with a focus on Databricks, equipped with a strong DevOps and Software Engineering background to enhance our modern analytics platform. Essential Responsibilities Mastery of major cloud providers (Azure or AWS) including networking, storage, and IAM. Strong programming skills in at least one language. Hands-on experience with Terraform and the Databricks Terraform Provider to manage resources, clusters, and permissions. Expertise in building automation pipelines using GitLab or similar tools for CICD and deploying Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs). Experience with Databricks Platform Administration, focusing on build/test/deploy automation. Proficiency in Unity Catalog implementation to manage centralized governance and fine-grained access control. Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain various products. Deliver production-ready, testable code and prioritize architectural best practices. Analyze failures, propose design improvements, and enhance operational efficiency. Engage in code reviews to promote best practices and ensure adherence to standards. Review tasks critically, anticipating and communicating potential blockers proactively. Commit to compliance and security best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Four to six years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills/Experience 3+ years of Databricks experience. 5+ years in Data Platform roles. 10+ years in Data Engineering. Deep understanding of Data Engineering workflows for effective analytics pipeline design. Working knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps principles. Ability to assess and understand affected users and flows in product features. Strong collaboration skills across product development processes. Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in product teams. Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, and best practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. This position requires in-office work at a U.S. Bank location three or more days weekly.
