ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:

The Senior Data Analyst will analyze, compile, and validate crucial healthcare data through complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. This role provides guidance and support to ensure high-quality, actionable insights that drive improvements in patient care and community health outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentors data analysts and supports end-users to ensure timely, accurate data reporting
  • Analyzes complex data sets, identifies trends, and recommends action plans
  • Acts as subject matter expert in SQL, data visualization, and analytics tools
  • Develops and maintains SQL statements, stored procedures, and ETL processes
  • Analyzes and develops design work, including testing and documentation
  • Reviews, evaluates, and implements requests from all levels of the organization
  • Designs and implements databases and data warehouse structures
  • Performs data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develops dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools
  • Communicates analytical insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Extracts and integrates internal and external healthcare data for reporting and analysis
  • Supports operational, clinical, and strategic initiatives through data analysis
  • Collaborates with external partners and vendors to access and utilize relevant data
  • Leads PACE data and reporting efforts, focusing on cleaning and structuring complex datasets
    • Works cross-functionally to map data flows from front-end entry to backend storage and builds reporting tools that improve operations and audit readiness
  • Supports AI and advanced analytics initiatives by providing data expertise, evaluating model readiness, and assisting with pilots aligned to organizational goals
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support data governance efforts, including stewardship, access control, quality standards, and compliance with evolving policies and frameworks
  • Helps drive strategic planning by surfacing high-impact use cases, defining success metrics, and supporting analytics maturity and data literacy goals
  • Stays current on emerging trends and technologies in data analytics
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy and security regulations and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Maintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public

  • Cooperates in accomplishing department goals and objectives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, healthcare informatics, business administration, or computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 5 years of SQL experience preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript preferred

  • Experience working within healthcare required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Pentaho, and eClinicalWorks

  • Strong database design, data modeling, and ETL development skills

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, SNOMED, ICD-10)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Effective project management and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Handles confidential information professionally and ethically

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Pay range: $87,500 - $127,700 annually, depending on experience

Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
