Location: Onsite in Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; or Broomfield, CO Join our dynamic team of software developers focused on creating scalable and highly available cloud services in a state-of-the-art cloud development environment. We are seeking a Senior Engineering professional who brings extensive experience in designing and leading the development of cloud services. Your deep understanding of media production pipeline infrastructure used in film, animation, and game development studios will greatly enhance our projects. In this position, you will be an individual contributor with a demonstrated history of technical excellence and maturity in software development. We value effective communication and collaboration as much as technical skills. Therefore, strong interpersonal abilities are a must. Responsibilities Design cloud services with a focus on availability, scalability, observability, and testability. Implement, validate, and document services and their microservices components. Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop and run cloud services that enhance animation, film, and game production workflows. Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to ensure compliance and foster innovation within the organization. Launch new cloud services aimed at achieving operational excellence. Lead implementation efforts to realize the team's technical vision. Effectively engage with engineering teams located across different geographic regions. Coach and mentor engineering staff for growth and development. Establish and maintain high standards for software development processes and practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of software development experience.
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise software development, specifically in cloud services and distributed systems.
In-depth understanding of workflows and pipelines for media production, including digital asset management and tools used by artists, engineers, editors, and content creators.
Experience as a lead developer in the design and operation of cloud services.
Capability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams.
Solid background in software implementation, code and design review, and root cause analysis of failures.
Expertise in designing for availability, observability, scalability, testability, and recoverability.
