Company Location: Rockville, MD
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly cash, lease, and debt accounting, and review journal entries for accuracy.
- Review account reconciliations, validate balances, and resolve discrepancies with supporting documentation.
- Supervise the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, explaining variances from prior periods.
- Manage unvouchered liabilities by collaborating with the purchasing department to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution.
- Monitor staff performance, set goals, assign accountabilities, and provide feedback and recognition.
- Supervise JDE fixed asset accounting processes to ensure compliance with company policy and US GAAP, and balance sub ledger and general ledger for all entities.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 4 years accounting experience with prior supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with JD Edwards ERP preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred not required.
